On February 28, 2010, the Richfield Historical Society held its first winter-time Antique Appraisal and Chili Lunch event. It was held at the Richfield Fire Hall. From noon to 4 pm, there was a constant stream of visitors coming to enjoy the delicious homemade chili, Panera's rolls, and desserts. Also, interested people brought in their treasures to find out what they were worth. Carol Miller, from Bailey's Honor Auction Service in Oconomowoc , shared her expert knowledge about all the items shown to her. The Historical Society displayed artifacts from the past which belong to its Traveling Trunk program.

Due to the success of this fun-filled event, a repeat is being planned for 2011.
