The Education Committee is focused on making Richfield history
interesting and exciting for young and old.
Our “Traveling Trunk” is on the move. We are ready to
travel for the New Year. You or someone you know might be
interested in viewing it. The Traveling Trunk contains items
from the past. In its travels, it has shared items with schools,
scout troops, and senior groups.
Our program on “Turn of the Century” advertising is
appropriate for adult groups such as senior centers.
The lower photo on the right shows where the Klippel Meat Market once
operated. It is one of many stops along the streets of Richfield
during our "Richfield Walk" for the school children. Some other
stops are the General Store, Blacksmith Shop, Bank, and where
the Harness Shop was in business.
During the summer months and at our annual
Thresheree, we offer Messer / Mayer Grist Mill
tours to
individuals and groups. We are always looking for persons who
may be interested in helping to give these tours. There will be
training sessions.
Call (262) 628-1546 to schedule the Traveling Trunk or
Advertising program, to give
Mill/House tours, or for additional information. |
